Services: This community collaborative project with the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority (IVPA) and Govenor Pat Quinn's office focuses on rebuilding vulnerable neighborhoods and protecting young people. It offers a wide range of services, including social and emotional development, jobs, re-entry services, school-based counseling, mentoring for youth and parent leadership training. APCC is the lead coordinating agency in the Albany Park community and has coordinated direct services with seven partner agencies. School-Based Counseling Program Description: Group and individual trauma-focused, early intervention counseling provided by community organizations are offered in a school setting. These services are targeted for students who have experienced or witnessed trauma of various kinds (abuse, community violence, peer violence, divorce, immigration, etc.) Albany Park Community Center Alternatives, Inc. Reentry Services: Program Description: Juvenile and ex-offenders receive comprehensive services upon reentering the community from the Department of Juvenile Justice or The Department of Corrections.
