Services: A federally- and state-funded preschool program that offers all the benefits of the half-day Head Start program with the added advantage of having a full-day, full-year schedule. The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Albany Park Community Center also participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which provides federal funds to help cover the costs of nutritious meals and snacks for the children in this program. Eligibility Requirements: Parent(s) must be working and/or in school full-time and meet normal APCC Head Start eligibility requirements. A sliding scale fee is assessed for the child care portion of the program. Languages: Spanish, Tagalog, Urdu, Hindi, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Russian, Gujarati, Farsi, Polish, and Arabic. |
