Services: This program provides job readiness training that includes resume and job interview preparation to adult education students at APCC. Students receive instruction in using computers and the internet for their job search in the Community Technology Center. In addition, students can explore career options and gain information about job training programs and college education resources. In addition, a Health Career Preparation class is offered to provide educational support in order to help students be academically prepared to: enter entry-level employment in the health field. The course equips students with the necessary basic skills in the areas of context-specific vocabulary, reading, writing, verbal math, and computer literacy. The course also includes health-care skills development, job readiness, and healthcare career exploration. The Healthcare Career Preparation class also prepares people to get their GED if they do not have a high school diploma.
