APCC Food Pantry APCC Food Pantry, located
at 5121 N. Kimball, offers emergency food to supplement individuals and
families' sources of food. Food distribution is limited to once per month
per household. (This is a collaboration between Queen of All Saints Parish,
the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the Albany Park Community Center.) Health Fair -The Albany
Park Community Center and Swedish Covenant Hospital co-sponsor a Free
Family Health Fair on a Saturday each spring. The fair serves several
hundred people each year with screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol,
diabetes risk assessment, lead testing for children under age six, to
name a few), immunizations, and school physicals. Exhibits focus on health
information and community resources, such as WIC and KidCare. Energy Assistance--Residents
of zip code 60625 can apply for help in paying utility bills from the
State's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (Illinois Department
of Commerce and Community Affairs). At 5121 N. Kimball, 2nd floor, staff
from Ekklesia-Ministry of Helps are available on a regular schedule from
October through the winter months, or until funding is depleted. Contact

Community Technology Centers (CTC) - This three-site program helps APCC clients access the Internet and learn to use information technology. The site locations follow: Youth - Youth/Net 17 at Roosevelt High School, 3436 West Wilson Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. Phone: 773.509.9139. Resources for the CTC's are provided in part by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Community Affair's and its "Eliminate the Digital Divide" program. Refurbished Computers - APCC's clients and staff may purchase refurbished computers at low prices through APCC/LIT. Call 773.509.5650 for more information.
