Albany Park Head Start - Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program for low income, at-risk children. It promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical well being of children by providing medical, nutritional and social services. Head Start-East (5121 N. Kimball) offers both full day and half-day options. Head Start-West (4909 N. Pulaski) offers half-day classes. Head Start views parents as partners in their child's development.
Parents are involved in all aspects of the program, including policy decision

Head Start /Child Care Collaboration at Head Start-East offers a comprehensive full-day preschool program for working parents with children 3 to 5 years of age. The program conforms to all Head Start guidelines. Families make a co-payment based on income and family size. (Funded by the City of Chicago Department of Human Services.)

Pre-School Child Care -- This program operates at 3401 W. Ainslie, offering year-round, full-day Child Care for 60 children, ages 3-5 years. Parents must be employed and meet income eligibility guidelines. Services are provided on sliding fee scale. (Funded by the City of Chicago Department of Human Services)

State Pre-kindergarten/Childcare is a full-day preschool program for working parents with children ages 3 to 5. The program operates at two sites: 3401 W. Ainslie and Head Start East. Fees are based on family size and income. (Funded by the Chicago Department of Human Services and the Chicago Public Schools) (Wendy, Dina)

School-Age Child Care is offered for School-age children up to 12 years Olds during after school hours and full-time on most holidays and vacation days. Early Head Start Family Child Care Homes Network -- Full-day child care services for children
between 6 weeks and 3 years of age in licensed family child rare homes in the community. Children receive all Head Start services. (Funded by the City of Chicago Department of Human Services)
