Business Planning and Development Center - The Albany Park Community Center
business Planning and Development Center assists entrepreneurs in starting
and expanding their own business through entrepreneurial services including
management, financial and marketing assistance:
- FINANCING
Our staff can explain what conventional lenders and micro-lenders
are looking for, help you determine where to go for financing,
and assist with your loan package.
- BUSINESS PLANNING
We can help you in any stage of business plan development, from
revising an old plan to walking you through the first draft.
- WORKSHOP AND CONSULTING CLINICS
Working with the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs
(DCCA), The Illinois Small Business Development Center Network,
City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development, Mayor
Daley's Business Express including Retail Chicago, Strategic
Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP) and local financial
institutions, we present business counseling, workshops, and
seminars on marketing, and market research, access to capital,
sales, business plan development, and small business export/import
assistance.
- LOCATING COMMERCIAL SPACE
We keep an updated list of commercial space for lease and sale
within our service area and can refer you to space that meets
your business and financial requirements.
- ZONING, LICENSES, AND PERMITS
As a delegate agency of the City of Chicago Department of Planning
and Development and an organization that works closely with local
Aldermen, we can advise you about, and help you through the process
of compliance with city ordinances, rules, and regulations.
- CLEARINGHOUSE OF INFORMATION
We have demographics, consumer expenditure data, and detailed
information about the business mix along our commercial strips -
information that can help you determine whether Albany Park is
the right market for your business.
This program is funded through a grant given by the Chicago
Department of Planning. A State of Illinois Discretionary Fund grant provided
by
Representative Joseph M. Lyons (15th District) also supports Planning.
