Youth After School Programs
Receive Added Funds From Kraft
Chicago - The Albany Park Community Center is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Kraft Employee Fund. This grant will augment funding for the Center's After School Programs at Hibbard Elementary School and Roosevelt High School . Additional funds will aid in the healthy development of children through a variety of programs such as tutoring, mentoring, computers, gym sports, drug and alcohol education, art, theater, teen violence prevention, youth forums and a host of other activities.
"The Albany Park Community Center is noted for its successful after school youth programs," says Diane Yost , Executive Director. "This funding will go a long way toward sustaining the program so children in the area can derive the benefits of a positive, safe, and nurturing experience."
The Albany Park Community Center is a not-for-profit community based organization that is recognized as the largest social service agency exclusively serving the Albany Park community.
