Computer Literacy Classes Offered at Albany Park Community Center

Chicago - The Albany Park Community Center is offering Intro to Computers, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel computer literacy classes for Chicago residents. Classes begin on April 2, 2005 , and will be held at the Community Technology Center , 5121 N. Kimball. Tuition is $50 per class and includes all materials and free access to tutoring assistance during the open lab sessions. The fee also entitles Word and Excel students to one free test voucher for the Microsoft Office Specialist Exam. Classes meet Saturdays and Sundays for four weeks.

"Anyone who has a fear of computers is a perfect candidate for these classes," said John Kamplain, Community Technology Program Director. "Students will start in the Into class and work their way through Word and Excel."

The Albany Park Community Center is a not-for-profit community-based organization that is recognized as the largest social service agency exclusively serving the Albany Park community.
